Chiwda is all time favourite tea time / evening munching in my family . Specially i make it on the occasion of diwali too. It is a healthy option for 'Bachcho ki chhoti chhoti bhookh ' 😊
I have learned this recipe from my grandmother .. remembering those lovely days.
Ingredients
Patala poha 1/4 kg (Thin flattened rice)
Handful Dane ( groundnuts)
Handful dalya ( roasted chana)
Handful sliced dry coconut
Clarified butter/ Ghee 1 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Til (sesame seeds) 1 tsp
Jeera ( cumin seeds) 1 tsp
Rai (mustard seeds) 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Dry red chillies 2
Turmeric pd
Salt as per taste
Powdered sugar 1 tsp
Keep poha in direct sunlight for 2 hrs.
In a pan roast poha with ghee till crisp
Dry roast dane n dalya
keep all other ingredients ready
Heat oil add rai, jeera, sesame seeds, curry leaves , chillies and roasted groundnut , dalya and sliced cocoanut one by one.
Add turmeric , poha and salt
Mix it well.
Now turn off flame... and after two three minutes add 1tsp sugar (powered )
Chiwada is ready😊😊😊
Let it cool at room temperature then store it in an airtight container. Have it any time...Enjoy☺☺
