We can make capsicum by using different stuffings. usually it is prepared with stuffing potatoes. Here i have stuffed it with unique stuffing made of split bengal gram. It tastes amazing .

ingredients
Capsicum 6-7 small size
Split Bengal gram 100 grams
Fennel seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Sugar 1 teaspoon (optional )
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tablespoons
Butter 3 tablespoon
Coriander leaves to garnish
Steps
Soak split bengal gram (chana dal) for 3 to 4 hours
Drain water and grind dal coarsely with salt, fennel seeds, red chilly powder and turmeric powder but without adding water. (If you are adding sugar then it should be added while grinding )
Heat oil in a wok add mustard seeds and cumin. let them splutter . Add ground mixture .
Add salt and garam masala and mix well.
Cook covered for three to four minutes.
Transfer this cooked dal into a plate and squeeze lemon juice.
Take washed capsicum and cut it's top. Carefully remove seeds.
Brush some melted butter inside all capsicums
.
Fill capsicums with cooked dal .
Brush some melted butter outside the capsicums too.
Preheat oven at 200 degree C .
Bake these stuffed capsicums for 15 to 20 minute or till tender.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
* You can bake/cook in a pan too. If you like grated cheese can be added to stuffing.
