Sweet Potato Slices / Shakarkand ke slices

Sweet potato is specially used during fasting .. usually we make it in sugar syrup or boil it. Here is a different way to make yummy slices of sweet potato.

servings 4

Ingredients 
Sweet potatoes 4 medium size
soaked tapioca (sabudana) 2 tablespoon 
soaked sama rice(vrat k chawal) 2 tablespoon 
sugar powdered 2 tablespoon 
chestnut flour (singhada/kuttu ka aata) 2 tablespoon 
pinch of rock salt (optional )
clarified butter (ghee) for frying
for garnishing 
dessicated coconut 2 tablespoon 
powdered superb 2 teaspoon 

procedure


Wasn and peel sweet potatoes . cut vertically into thin slices. Take tapioca and sama rice in mixer grinder and grind it to a fine paste adding little water.
Transfer it to a bowl. Add 2 tablespoon sugar, chestnut flour and a pinch of salt and mix well.
Dip each slice of sweet potato into this batter and deep fry into hot ghee.
Remove on a kitchen napkin when golden .  Sprinkle dessicated coconut and powdered sugar on it and serve hot.
